The City closed off the street surrounding the Adam Clayton Powell State Office Building Plaza for Senator’s Perkins 1st Annual Veterans Resource Fair in Harlem. Organizations from all over the city as far as Brooklyn to the Bronx had representative from service organizations and agencies dedicated to helping with an array of Veteran issues.  

Senator Perkins watched over while Veterans spoke to service organizations and ask questions like “how can my office improve your current situation”. The CEO of Devil Dog USA, Gonzalo Duran took this time to speak with the Senator regarding recent programs and future collaboration.

At the same time Duran honored local Bronx legend and recent New York State Veteran Hall of Fame Leroy Archibald with a ceremonious pinning for his service to the community. Guest speakers included Honorable Charles B. Rangel, Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Dina M. Micheal and Mayor’s Office of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Terrance C. Holliday.
