Pride In Winter With Sleeves Up For Those In Need

MusArt Music Management presents: “Rolling Up Our Sleeves in Times of Need, To Help Those in Need”, The Sancocho Way. Will be serving warm meals to those in need. The primary focus is on the LGBTQ community, but everyone is welcome. This event will take place at 1784 Prospect Ave, Bronx New York 10457 from 11am until 5pm. Besides the warm meals, many organizations within the LGBTQ community will be present with representatives and resources on hand. The goal is to continue the spirit of Pride all year long. Especially during the winter for those who need it most.

Daniel Guzman, a former United States Marine Corp Corporal is from the Bronx. He is the founder of MusArt, a Music Management company dedicated to bringing the Sancocho Way across the nation. He has now taken on helping the LGTBQ community more directly. This event is the 2nd LGTBQ event held this year and only four months apart. The 1st event was the “Sancocho at the End of the Rainbow Festival” held on August 14th 2022.

MusArt 1st LGTBQ event, was a flashier, music and fashion centric event. This time around, they are focusing on the immediate and the direct resources needed by the LGBTQ community. Guzman, with a Marine Infantry mindset, took his time on finding a safe, logistical and spacious location. Sage USA seemed like the perfect organization with their mission to help the elderly LGTBQ population.

Guzman’s goal is to make this a yearly event and to become a staple in the LGTBQ community. To show that support for the LGTBQ community is strong and not just a June event. The guiding factor for this event is strength, “ignorance will no longer overshadow the equal rights of those wanting representation”, Guzman wants those seeking help to know that “we hear you, we see you and we are here for you”.
